Hydroaminations of unactivated alkenes with basic alkylamines: group 4 metal halide catalysts and Brønsted-acid organocatalysts.

چکیده
Two distinct economical catalysts for intramolecular hydroaminations of electronically unactivated alkenes with basic amines are described, which are based on (a) group 4 metal halides under basic reaction conditions or (b) Brønsted-acid organocatalysts.

Bifunctional Iminophosphorane Organocatalysts for Enantioselective Synthesis: Application to the Ketimine Nitro-Mannich Reaction
The design, synthesis, and development of a new class of modular, strongly basic, and tunable bifunctional Brønsted base/H-bond-donor organocatalysts are reported. These catalysts incorporate a triaryliminophosphorane as the Brønsted basic moiety and are readily synthesized via a last step Staudinger reaction of a chiral organoazide and a triarylphosphine. Their application to the first general...

The en masse cyclization of polyolefins into polycyclic terpenoids by cyclase enzymes (e.g. squalene to hopene), is a biosynthetic reaction of particular fascination to chemists. Noteworthy recent additions to synthetic mimics of the cyclase enzymes are asymmetric methods that include Brønsted–Lewis acids (BLA), masked equivalents of Br and I, organocatalysts, and electrophilic metal catalysts....
متن کاملCatalytic Reactions over Halide Cluster Complexes of Group 5–7 Metals
Halide clusters of Group 5–7 metals develop catalytic activity above 150–250 °C, and the activity is retained up to 350–450 °C by taking advantage of their thermal stability, low vapor pressure, and high melting point. Two types of active site function: the solid Brønsted acid site and a coordinatively unsaturated site that catalyzes like the platinum metals do. Various types of catalytic react...
متن کاملCopper-catalyzed diamination of unactivated alkenes with hydroxylamines.
A copper-catalyzed regio- and stereoselective diamination of unactivated alkenes has been developed with O-acylhydroxylamines as electrophilic nitrogen sources and oxidants. This method provides the first example of metal-catalyzed alkene diamination for directly installing an electron-rich amino group and extends the diamination scope for the synthesis of diverse 1,2-diamines. It offers a rapi...
